UKI-GOSHI is a judo throw suitable for Red Belt students and is required by British Judo Association to achieve the 3rd Mon (junior) or 6th Kyu (adult) grade. This technique is a good one to learn as it teaches control. The challenge will be to break your partner’s balance before you turn in. Improve your technique by pulling your partner forwards and off balanced before you turn in. This way it is much easier to lift and throw them.
