
SAN-GAKU-JIME is an advanced strangle suitable for experienced Brown Belt students and is required by British Judo Association for 18th Mon or 1st Kyu. Using your legs gives you power to turn your partner over and apply the strangle or move into the hold down. Judoka often struggle with making the triangle with their legs. Gain flexibility by practicing slipping your foot behind your own knee. Always makes ure uke’s arm is trapped along with their head or you will be disqualified.
