KOUCHI-GARI INTO OSOTO-GARI is a combination suitable for Orange Belt and intermediate level judoka and is required by British Judo Association for 7th Mon or 4th Kyu Grade. This effective combination is a useful addition to your growing range of judo skills and uses footwork to move your partner and break their balance. Judoka typically find the timing of the second attack difficult, and often attack too early. Iron out this problem by taking an extra step to the side and really pull uke’s weight over the leg you are going to attack with Osoto-Gari.
