KOSHI-JIME is an advanced technique suitable for experienced Blue Belt students and is required by British Judo Association to grade to 15th Mon or 2nd Kyu. This is an effective way to counter an attack. Students typically struggle with stopping their partner’s attack sufficiently before attempting the strangle. Improve your entry by making sure you move off the attack and by pulling uke forwards and off balance before you go for the strangle .
