Ashi-guruma is a dynamic throw, suited to fast moving judoka. Use this spin entry to fool your opponent. The spin creates power and momentum.

How to throw with Ashi-guruma
- Step across uke’s body and place your support foot wide enough to give yourself space to spin.
- Lift your attack leg and spin in a circle on your support foot. Spin all the way through.
- Sweep uke’s far leg. Make contact on the outside of uke’s leg just below the knee.
- Turn your head and body, and keep pulling the sleeve around to finish the throw.
